It obviously takes a great deal of work to win the dog’s trust back and to help them heal and become a dog again. Obviously, Homer has begun to trust you and care about you. What happens when he has to leave again with a new family? Is that going to make him less likely to trust again? You spent a great deal of time to get him to trust you and then he is going to leave again. That has been my biggest concern with fostering and the fact that I would more than likely become attached and not be able to give them up and the next thing you know I would be that crazy old man with 500 dogs.
